To ensure fairness and true comparability, each brand is represented only by its core, original “hero” product, not by limited editions or niche variants.

The project is conceived and led by Pat Eckert, internationally recognized water sommelier, beverage specialist, and independent product analyst.
He is supported by external industry experts and independent professionals, ensuring that the process remains fully unbiased, transparent, and scientifically grounded. In addition, the project utilizes advanced AI‑driven analytical tools to accelerate data processing and maintain consistency across the large global dataset.

A 36 Point Scientific Quality Index - No Marketing, No Opinions

Each product is evaluated using a rigorous 36‑Point Energy Drink Quality Index based solely on objective, fact-based criteria.

The methodology applies analytical and evaluation standards used in scientifically assessed beverage categories, with a primary focus on ingredients, nutritional composition, labelling accuracy, regulatory compliance, manufacturing transparency, and other objectively verifiable product data.

No brand identity, marketing appeal, or public popularity plays any role in the scoring.

Only the Best Reach the Second Stage

From the global pool – expected to include over a hundred products – only the 10 highest‑scoring drinks advance to the next phase.

These finalists will undergo independent laboratory testing in Switzerland, examining a range of factors – for example, ingredient accuracy and profiles, purity and composition, verification of label claims, and screening for potential contaminants.

This dual‑layer evaluation ensures that the final ranking is not only analytical but scientifically validated.
